이 책은 내가 평화를 위해 살아온 인생의 이야기다.
그 모든 것은 기도에서부터 시작되었다.
전쟁 없는 평화로운 세상을 만들기 위한 첫걸음은 언제나 작은 것에서 시작하는 것이다.
일인시위, 편지쓰기, 리본 달기처럼 겨자씨 같이 작은 실천으로 출발하는 것이다.
나는 이 책의 독자들이 그런 걸음을 내딛기를 바란다.
이 희망이 국경을 넘어 더 멀리까지 퍼져 나가기를 바란다.

This book is the story of my life for peace. It all began with prayer. Like a mustard seed, the first step in creating a peaceful world without war is always tiny. It starts with simple practices such as one-person demonstrations, letter writing, and ribbon wearing. I hope that readers of this book will take such a step. It is my wish that this hope will travel and spread beyond borders.
