경찰생활25년,스쿨폴리스활동8년으로1,000여명의청소년과부모의고민을만났다.아이들의마음을더욱더잘이해하기위해시작한공부는상담심리학사학위취득을하게했으며,아이들이겪고있는문제를알리고자준비한강의는강사전문과정을수료함으로써수천회의강의로이어졌다.이는스쿨폴리스가가진한계를극복하고,지역사회를움직이는원동력이됐다.

도움이필요한곳이라면어디든달려가는‘김반장’을자처하고,도움을원하는사람과도움을줄수있는사람을연결하는밴드를만드는것은물론,발품을팔아각분야전문가를초빙해‘청소년봉사단체’를구성해지역네트워크를형성하는데이바지했다.

2012년지역최초스쿨폴리스로활동을시작해,2015년‘전국베스트스쿨폴리스’로선정,이듬해인2016년에는국민방송KTV휴먼다큐[철밥통은가라]에소개되면서지역유명인사가됐다.더불어2018년에는스쿨폴리스팀장으로운영하는팀이‘전국베스트스쿨폴리스팀’으로선정되면서경찰청에서도인정하는청소년전문가로손꼽힌다.

공식적으로는‘스쿨폴리스팀장’이었지만,늘새로운것에도전하고하고싶은것이많은그를주변인들은‘하고재비(뭐든하고싶어하는사람)’라고부른다.오늘도그는SNS에글을쓰며보다개선된청소년환경을꿈꾼다.
