Description
Poetry needs change. It needs movement. I want to change language. I reject the language of today, the language of servitude, of treachery. It is impossible to rehabilitate the body. I want to metamorphose into a new body of language and reject “their” language. I believe in the possibility of this. Its body heat and its musk are distinct. Without transformed sentence structure and form, language and the body cannot be changed. Impossibility and possibility coexist. The languages of the world need to be transformedthe languages of power and ideology and injustice. I dream of a language revolution, the arrival of a language movement with an unexpectedly perpetual engine.
From “Poet’s Note”

It is astonishing that he does not give up. He may fall, he may break, he may be destroyed, but he never abandons his origins, revolution and love. That is why I love Jang Seok-won’s poetry.
