근대 한국학은 20세기 초에 자국학을 새롭게 수립하고자 했던 이들에 의해 태동했다. 정인보는 그러한 건설자 중의 한 명이다. 21세기인 오늘날에도 당시의 학문적 재편과 관점은 부지불식간에 지대하게 영향을 미치고 있음을 본다. 이 책은 정인보가 추구했던 민족문화 기획의 특징을 그의 글쓰기를 중심으로 살펴본 것이다. 근대 전환기는 전통 한문 글쓰기의 영향력이 쇠퇴하고 근대적 국문체가 확립되던 시기이다. 변화의 시기였던 만큼 언어와 글쓰기의 양상은 다양하게 나타났다. 정인보는 한문 글쓰기와 국문 글쓰기를 비슷한 비중으로 병행했다는 점에서 독특한 양상을 보여준다. 이 책은 이를 종합적으로 고찰하여 정인보의 문필활동의 전모를 밝히고 그 의미를 탐구한 것이다.
저자

여희정

성균관대학교정보공학과와연세대학교국어국문학과를졸업하고,연세대학교교육대학원에서국어교육학석사,한국학중앙연구원한국학대학원에서국문학전공으로석사와박사학위를취득했다.현재고등학교국어교사로재직중이며국문학연구를계속진행하고있다.논문으로「이봉환의한시연구」,「김창흡매화시의특징」,「두보기주이후시의조선적수용」,「근대전환기전통지식인의이중언어글쓰기-정인보를중심으로」,「정인보의고문문장론」등이있다.
