2002년한일월드컵이한창이던무렵,서울연희동의연립주택을경매로취득하면서뒤늦게부동산에관심을가지게되었다.이후부동산관련직업으로전환해20여년간실무경험을쌓았고,건국대학교부동산대학원에진학해학업과연구를꾸준히이어갔다.실무경험에이론을더한결과,현재는서원대학교에서교수로재직하며학생들에게부동산학을가르치고있다.또한,일반시민을대상으로하는시민대학등을통해생활과밀접한부동산강의도하고있다.한국토지주택공사경영투자심사위원,한국자산관리공사자문위원,서울특별시상가임대차분쟁조정위원을역임하고있고,대한부동산학회및한국부동산경영학회이사로참여해실무와학문을함께발전시켜나가고있다.저서로는≪주인이나가래요≫,≪투자전,꼭알아야하는상가임대차법≫등이있다.
