서승종

작가는 건설 엔지니어이다. 전라남도 장흥에서 출생하였다. 한양대학교 건축공학과를 졸업하고, 동 대학원에서 건설관리학으로 석사 학위를 취득하였다. 현대건설에 입사하여 국내외 건설 업무를 수행하였다. 30여년간 건설 업무를 수행한 이후 데이터센터를 구축하는 다우기술에 입사하였다. 현재 데이터센터 구축 사업을 총괄하는 사업단장으로 재직 중이다. 10여년 간 현장 소장 및 사업단장으로 근무하면서 팀원들을 어떻게 이끌 것인가에 대해 항상 고민하였다. 직장 생활 30년차를 지나면서 본인의 생각과 철학을 책으로 정리하고 기록을 남기고자 했다. 같이 근무하는 외국인 동료들을 위해 영문판 에세이를 집필하였다.
