『천사일로일기』는 1537년에 명나라 사신 공용경 일행을 의주에서 맞이하여 동행하였던 조선의 원접사 정사룡 일행이 기록한 필사본 일기이다. 명나라 사신들을 압록강에서 맞이하는 1537년 2월 20일부터 요동(遼東)으로 전송하는 같은 해 4월 8일까지의 기록이며, 현재 전하는 가장 오래된 원접사 일기로 유일본이다. 16세기 중반 명나라 사신을 맞는 조선 관원의 구체적인 모습을 확인할 수 있다는 점에서 사료적 가치가 높은 자료로 평가되며, 대구시 유형문화재 제85호로 지정되어 있다.

Travel Log of the Celestial Envoys is a hand-written manuscript that records the journey of Chosŏn Reception Envoy Chŏng Saryong and Ming Envoy Gong Yongqing from Ŭiju to Seoul and back again in the spring of 1537. It is oldest surviving log of a Chosŏn Reception Commission for a Ming envoy and an important historical document chronicling the lengths to which Chosŏn officials went to host and entertain Ming envoys in the mid-sixteenth century. Travel Log of the Celestial Envoys is designated City of Daegu Tangible Cultural Property no. 85.
